IMIGRATION

According to a survey conducted  by INTO University Partnerships, “76% of Indian students aspire to study abroad”.

A person is said to have immigrated  when they move from one location to another in search of employment or better chances. The purpose of migration can be temporary or permanent. People who choose to live there permanently are referred to as "permanent residents" of that nation. A permanent resident is different from a citizen and holds the passport of another country. A person who lives outside of the nation in which they were born is referred to as an international immigrant. An immigrant is generally motivated by the desire to find new chances and a better way of life when they cross borders in pursuit of employment, education, and new perspectives.

Why settle:

Moving abroad is becoming more and more popular and has plenty of benefits such as travelling to new places, meeting new people and cultures. For some people, moving abroad is a necessity, while for others it’s a choice. As said earlier, moving abroad is more than just a fashion. It's about a willingness to relocate abroad for work, relationships or even a new adventure.

Government statistics show that every year, about 1 lakh people obtain citizenship in nations other than India. Nityanand Rai, the nation's Minister of State for Home, recently provided some disturbing statistics on Indians obtaining citizenship abroad in response to a question in the Lok Sabha. In 2016, more than the 1,41,000 people who acquired foreign citizenship in 2015 did so. This number kept rising till the year 2019. Due to Corona, this number decreased significantly in 2020 to somewhere around 88,000, but starting in 2021, it increased once more to close to a million. In other words, every day, more than 350 Indians obtain citizenship abroad.
